I loved this combination of mint/tangerine (first featured here) so much that I was excited to create a more casual weekend look with the same blouse and sweater.
To take it down a notch, I traded the statement necklace for a colorful, breezy scarf, and the heels for more comfortable and fun flats. Skinny jeans were my favorite replacement for the skirt because all my other jeans options are too long for flats. A crossbody purse, my preference for shopping and errands, and a denim jacket topped off my style re-mix.
What’s your opinion of denim on denim? It wasn’t cold enough to wear a coat but too cool to go without a light jacket…A do or a don’t?
On that same note, I’m growing more and more fond of flats because they’re perfect for the in-between of not cold enough for boots, but too cold for sandals (and I haven’t gotten around to my DIY pedi yet). Plus, you can wear them casual or dressy. I love to see them in unexpected colors and prints or interesting details like these. Which ones would you wear?
Have a great week, and thanks for reading!
