I never used to buy necklaces, or much jewelry of any kind for that matter.  I preferred to spend my money on actual clothes and thought costume or fashion jewelry was a waste.  However, if you have read my About page, you know that my clothes situation is entirely out of control, so I had to make a change!

I don’t know why it took me so long to realize that statement necklaces are one of the easiest ways to spice up old items in my closet, and buying one necklace is so much cheaper than going crazy and buying a whole new outfit (or 4!).

Today, I’m also showing you how versatile a colorful and bold statement necklace can be by sharing two ways I’ve worn mine: both dressy and casual.  This necklace features so many great colors that it was fun mixing and matching my outfits to coordinate.  Maurices probably has my favorite selection of statement necklaces.  You can browse those by clicking the advertisement to the right, or here are some other colorful options I came across, all less than $15!
