Yesterday, I shared that one of the reasons I like day dresses so much is that they don’t take much thought when putting an outfit together. You can throw one on and go or add a few fun extras, like funky shoes or a statement necklace to jazz it up more if you like.
Today, I’m adding another reason, and that’s how easily they can be transitioned from season to season. Layering on tees, scarves, tights or leggings, and cardigans are simple ways to get use of dresses all year round. I wore this one in the summer with a yellow tank top and sandals. In the fall, I switched to knee-high boots, a jean jacket, and colorful beads, and today, I’m warming it up even more with black tights, leather boots and a colorful cardigan.
My sister talked me into this cardigan when we were Christmas shopping last month, and I’m so glad she did:) I’ve worn it a couple times to brighten up a black ensemble, but I got creative and matched up the reds for a double dose of polka dots! I love the way it turned out, so thanks for the encouragement, Jacqui!
