1dress3waysThere’s nothing I love more than coming up with multiple ways to wear my favorite items.  That’s why I thought it would be fun to share a post where I did just that-create a look for three different occasions with one dress.

Church  churchdress4bownecklaceThis first look I put together for church. I love the matchy-matchiness of the sparkly necklace with this dress. They really look like they were made for each other!  I decided to go all in with the blue accessories, from my sunglasses all the way down to my feet.churchdress2bluewedgeheelschurchdress1I’ve had these blue wedge sandals for years and don’t wear them a whole lot anymore, so I couldn’t resist the opportunity.blueshades

Workworkdress2workheelsFor my work look, I had to add a cardigan to adhere to our “no tanks allowed” dress code.  I chose to play up the blue in the dress again by covering up with this striped cardigan, and I also really like the way the patterns compliment each other. workdressaccessoriesworkdressI thought the blue sweater and blue heels might be a little over the top, so I switched it up with coordinating camel belt and heels instead.

Play  casualwithbluesandalscasualdressandturquoiseThis version is perfect for a day of shopping or a summer afternoon date.  I toned down the accessories with a simple turquoise and gold necklace and bracelet.  A small crossbody purse is always my top choice for an afternoon out or day on the go.coralcasualdresscasualdress2casualdressgoldpurse

I’ll let you in on a little secret…on a lot of Mondays, you will find me in the same outfit I wore to church the day prior.  It eases a little of the Monday stress if I have something ready that I already know works!

Care to share any of your 3-in-1 tips?  Which version of mine is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week!

When I decided to purchase this skirt from White Plum, I envisioned wearing it with bright pink or my neon yellow heels, but it’s actually more green than yellow, and the pink just didn’t feel quite right.

I finally pulled this old neutral blouse out of the closet in a last ditch effort to make something work, and I was surprisingly pleased!  I think it works because it allows the boldness of the skirt to speak for itself.  The necklace was just a happy accident that brought it all together perfectly.

May I also add that this skirt style would look great on anyone!  I love the definition of the high waistline coupled with the roominess below.  Whether you go with a bold print or a solid color, the shape is definitely universally flattering, and I would like to add a few more to my collection, starting with the toucans below!  Which one would you pick?

Welcome, June.  I am so happy to see you, but I do believe you forgot to bring something along, like sunshine and 80 degree days?  I sure do hope they won’t be far behind you!

Although, the cooler days do give me the opportunity to wear a couple of my favorite closet essentials-the maxi dress and denim jacket.  A classic denim jacket is a necessity in my book and never going out of style, and maxi dresses are still going strong and right on trend for summer.  Plus, I’ll take any excuse to not have to shave my legs;)

Have a great week lovelies!

Hello lovely ladies!  I know it’s been a while, but, you know, life happens.  For those of you fabulous mommas out there, I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!

Okay, let’s get to today’s outfit.  You gals know how much I love my accessories, and I’ve said time and time again that a statement necklace, a great pair of shoes, or even a belt can make a huge difference in the way you view your closet.  This combination is certainly no exception.

I would have never thought to pair my lilac sweater with this skirt, but one random glance at the necklace, and my wheels were churning!  Royal blue, lilac, and turquoise…The sweater and necklace together were a no-brainer, and after one sweep through my skirt collection, a light bulb went off!

My first thought for shoes were my royal blue suede peep-toes, but a little more digging had me pulling these wedge sandals out for the first time this year.  A match made in heaven if I do say so myself:)

Enjoy your day girls, and happy creating!

Super feminine and girly outfits are right at the top of my list of favorite things to wear, and nothing says girly like blushing pink, bows, and shiny baubles!

Neutral Territory

Necklace: Sole Society / Watch: Target / Chambray Buttondown: Old Navy, Plus /Sweater: H&M via Plato’s Closet / Pants: Old Navy, old / Boots: Sisters (local boutique)

After all the sequins and sparkles that come with the holiday season, I’m happy to be sharing an outfit today that falls into more neutral territory.

I’ve always been a sucker for cable-knit, and I love the camel color of this sweater.  It fits perfectly over my fave chambray, and I really like the way the textures of the sweater and tweed pants look against each other.

Naturally, I added some leopard accents to keep it interesting;)

The Golden Age

I used to be a mostly silver accessories kind of girl.  I don’t know if it’s my age or what, but here in the past year or so, (perhaps about the time I bought these shoes…?)  I’ve been attracted to gold, gold, and more gold.

I planned on going with silver for this black and white combo, and black wedge boots, but then I added the blazer, which features gold pocket zippers, and the rest just fell into place.  I ended up with something a little dressier than I had originally planned.  Love when that happens!

For a more casual occasion, I love the idea of wearing a graphic tee, like the lips or owl below, with this same blue blazer.

Silver, gold, both?  How would you dress up these striped tops?

See a similar combination here!
